Recording setup

This page plans one route. It does not configure audio hardware or the DAW, confirm installed patches or measure signal levels. Existing paths come from the committed wiring sheet; solid lines are proposed patches. Insert rows on Patch Bays 2 and 3 are separate device outputs and inputs, never automatic feedback connections.

UMC1820 inputs use proposed stable names Record 1–8 (mono) and Record 1–2 / 3–4 / 5–6 / 7–8 (stereo). Mono and stereo aliases share the same physical inputs. The current route reserves its chosen inputs; other UMC use is unverified. Keep the instrument name on the track. PreSonus input numbers refer to the physical AR22 line inputs; a DAW mapping for the desk is not assumed.

A DAW send uses UMC1820 outputs 3–10. Use a distinct recording return and exclude its track from that send, including software and hardware monitoring paths. The checkbox records a planning assumption; verify the real routing before connecting hardware.

“Fender Pro” is assumed to mean Fender Studio Pro. Its official I/O guide describes named mono and stereo software channels mapped to hardware inputs. These aliases are proposals and have not been applied.

Pedal chains and physical bays

Every pedal chain enters a reamp. Pedal Chain 3 ends in a stereo passive DI at mic level; Pedal Chain 4 ends in a stereo J+4 line booster. Pedal Chain 1's output box and saved dbx 1066 placement remain unconfirmed. Pedal Chain 2's output hardware and level are unresolved. Pedal Chain 4's pedal order is unknown.

Default chain feeds use the instrument's committed left output, even where the chain produces stereo. Choosing a stereo source for a mono chain input requires changing the explicit output selection; the planner never silently discards the right channel. The committed Pedal Chain 1 to AR22 normal remains visible with its unresolved level match.

Patch Bay 4 sits on the left; Patch Bays 1–3 sit on the right. Green shading marks participating jacks, including reciprocal cross-bay THRU connections. Other slots remain readable. AR22 assignments stay visible when a proposed route replaces them.
